Contract manufacturing of chemicals and substances

JS “Olainfarm” performs contract manufacturing:

• with the customer’s materials (custom research);
• in accordance with the customer’s technologies (custom manufacturing).

JS “Olainfarm” manufactures oral drugs from final formulations: tablets, hard gelatine capsules and powder in sachets. Mass-manufacturing of tablets is performed by the “boiling” layer technology, agitation in vortex, or dry agitation. Tablet cores are film-coated or have a sugar coating. Tablets and capsules are pre-packaged in film–aluminium foil blisters or polyethylene containers, and packaged in carton packaging materials together with instructions for use.

Manufacturing of chemicals and active pharmaceutical substances involves such chemical processes as reductive amination, pressurised hydration, bromating, catalytic processes, chlorination with thiochloride and oxychlorine, diazotation, oxidation, condensation, etc.

Technological facilities of the plant:

• reductive amination;
• catalytic hydration in the presence of Pt, Pd, and Ni catalysts up to the pressure level of 100 atm.
• hydrolytic reaction in the presence of alkali and acids;
• reactions with metal-organic compounds;
• rectification under pressure of 4 mBar and temperature up to 200ºC;
• 25–100 l area of glass equipment;
• vacuum-distillation under pressure of 4 mBar and temperature up to 200ºC;
• various condensation types (aldol condensation, ester condensation, etc.);
• catalytic carbon-skeletal rearrangement reactions;
• oxidation;
• hydrocyanation reactions;
• and others.

In the manufacturing processes, JS “Olainfarm” uses stainless steel (including hastelloy) and enamelled reactors of 160–6000 l in volume. They are equipped with heating–cooling circuits for the working temperature range between (-10ºC) and (+200ºC). Products are dried in ITALVAC vacuum-driers.
